I've created these earrings from black kyanite crystals, which have a mineral structure that naturally forms into wing-like, or fan shapes. I've paired these black crystal beauties with deep red garnet briolette drops. The gems are suspended form hand fabricated and stamped sterling silver components and chains which I've oxidized to a dark patina and hand rubbed with pumice to reveal the satiny silver surface. I've added a small section of copper wrapped at the top of each crystal to complement and bring unity to the piece.
These beauties dangle approximately 3 inches below the earlobe.
*Kyanite is said to have a highly protective quality that never needs cleansing or charging and remains the strongest of protective crystals, a very powerful crystal that also creates chakra balance.
*Garnet balances the sex drive and creates emotional harmony. It activates and strengthens the survival instinct, bringing courage and hope.
