Keep summer all year long with these hand forged dogwood blossoms added to your earring collection. I have created these earrings by forging the metal into a floral shape with a special hammer. Then, I employed an age old technique called depletion guilding, which consists of heating and cooling the metal repeatedly, in order to bring the pure silver to the surface of the piece, resulting in a lovely whiteish surface of fine silver. I then polish the very edges of the petal to create interest. Sterling silver blossoms, with deep pink chalcedony centers, which dangle from sweeping, textured copper stems. These stones have a deep pink hue, which adds vibrant contrast to this floral design.
All of my jewelry is one of a kind, entirely hand fabricated in my home studio.
